BPSC 53-55 MARKING PATTERN
ABOVE NOTICE FROM DAINIK BHASKAR E PAPER (11-10-2012, RANCHI EDITION PAGE NUMBER-13)
Jharkhand Public Service Commission had earlier announced that fifth Civil Services Preliminary Examination on the pattern of UPSC Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). UPPSC is also following this pattern. However UPPSC has added Hindi grammar in that pattern. MPPSC has also recently announced to conduct state civil services examination on this pattern. But in Jharkhand a controversy has erupted on CSAT. Some students are protesting against the Jharkhand CSAT. They are saying that they are not against the new pattern but are opposing the timing of announcement. According to the protesting students, the pattern is correct but they should have been given more time to prepare for the pattern and announcement should have been made a few years ago, just like the UPSC. They are also saying that the UPSC announced the pattern of CSAT three years before applying it and they expected the same from the JPSC. But they are giving a month for preparations as the preliminary examination is to be held (as they said) in December and they have not even released the syllabus yet. Even some of them are complaining that they have been preparing for the examination on the basis of a old syllabus and when their preparation is about to complete, the JPSC wants them to start preparing again for a different syllabus, which is not possible. These students may be right at some extent but, we shouldn't forget that UPSC had announced the CSAT syllabus in October 2010 and preliminary examination was held in the month of June 2011, means 7 months before the preliminary examination. We should also not forget that Jharkhand government had instructed the JPSC in July 2011 to design the state civil services preliminary examination on the pattern of UPSC. Hence it can not be said that aspirants are not aware with forthcoming change or the new pattern. Seeing the 4th state civil services preliminary controversy, CSAT is better option, and it should be welcomed by the students, since it is in their interest. However JPSC has taken decision in this regard. So continue with your preparation.
