BPSC 56-59th Combined PT Result in June last, Mains from last Week of September 2015

NOTE: NEXT HEARING OF BPSC CASE IS SCHEDULED ON SEPTEMBER 8. (Although hearing was scheduled on August 18, but due to excess matters this case was eliminated from August 18 cause list and latter shifted to September 8. However it is not sure, that case will be heard on September 8.)

RESULT MIGHT BE DELAYED DUE TO SUPREME COURT STAY. BPSC IS APPROACHING SUPREME COURT TO REQUEST FOR PRELIMS RESULT DECLARATION. HEARING IS SCHEDULED ON JULY 27, BUT BPSC WANTS TO MENTION IT EARLIER.

Bihar Public Service Commission is going to declare the result of 56-59th Combined Competitive preliminary examination in the last week of Current Month (June 2015), most probably before or on 27Th May. According to sources, about 10% of appearance will be declared successful for the mains examination which is planned in the last week of September 2015.  Most probably, Mains examination will start from last week of September. Since assembly election will be held in the month of October/November, BPSC is planning to complete the mains examination process before that election. Hence, if you have not started yet, start preparation right now otherwise you will miss the chance for next 4 years.

As far as cut off is concerned, those general category students who are scoring more than 98, are in the safe zone. These students shouldn't waste time. Be ready for mains examination. Best of luck.

Bihar government backtracked on 2nd BSSC Prelims

Nearly after two months, Bihar government has backtracked on its amended Bihar staff selection commission examination rule. According to new cabinet decision, State cabinet has ordered to delete the Rule 5 of Bihar Staff Selection Commission Examination Rules, 2010, under which candidates obtaining 10% highest marks in first preliminary examination were to be declared successful for 2nd preliminary examination. But now this amended rule has already been deleted on April 6, consequently, cut off is bound to go higher. Now it is clear that 2nd preliminary examination will not be held for 2nd graduate level examination. However it is yet not clear, whether commission will declare 10% candidate successful or 5 times of the number of posts for mains examination. Existing rule suggests 5 times theory. On this basis cut off will be more than 420 marks for general candidates.

BSSC RESULT: 10% WILL QUALIFY FOR 2ND GRADUATE LEVEL PRELIMINARY-2

It is now almost final that Bihar Staff Selection Commission will hold Second Graduate level Preliminary-2 for selecting candidates for mains examination. According to the  General administration department modified rule (for Bihar Staff Selection Commission Examinations):
1.       The preliminary examination shall be conducted in more than one stages on being the number of applicants more than four lakhs. In each examination, candidates obtaining 10% highest marks shall be permitted to appear in the preliminary examination -2. The main examination shall be conducted for successful candidates of preliminary examination -2 .
It means three things:
1.       10% of February 16 and 10% of February 23 appearance (in examination) will be qualified for preliminary-2 examination.
2.       About 80,000 candidates will be called for preliminary-2 stage.
3.       5times of posts will be qualified for mains examination.
On the basis of general administration amendment (10% rule) and toughness (in fact easy nature of questions) nature of preliminary-1, it can be assumed that those (candidates) getting 410-420 numbers should be ready for preliminary-2 stage. It might be setback for good performers, but good another chance for those who are little skeptical. Anyways, it is good move.

Here is the copy of General Administration Department amendment document:
