Bihar Staff Selection Commission conducted first graduate level mains examination (Sachiwalaya Sahayak Examination) on 27 January, 2013. Mains examination question paper and Answer key have been provided on Commission's website. Any error in question paper or in answer can be informed to BSSC till 31 January, 2013. After then no complain will be entertained. It shows that BSSC is serious in declaring the result as soon as possible. It can be expected before 20 February, 2013.
As far standard of questions are concerned, it was a mix bag. It was not on the pattern of preliminary examination. All sections were mixed. There were very few questions from math. Except 5 to 6 questions of word formation , all reasoning questions were not so tough. GK questions were not so lengthy as it was in the mains. In the Reasoning section unlike PT. examination, not too many questions were asked from arithmetic. It means GS and Science questions are going to decide the final merit. One can say that it was little easy.
Keeping all these factors in mind one can expect a cut off marks based on one's performance. Since the General Hindi paper was qualifying in nature, hence its marks will not be added in the merit list preparation. So merit list will be prepared on the marks scored in Second sitting's paper only. In the preliminary examination cut off for general candidate's was 342 (on the basis of first result). In the mains examination cut off will be certainly go higher. How much, it is very tough to say. But one can guess and say that it will be around 390-400 marks for general category. It may be wrong, but is only speculation. Now it is up to you, to debate on the cut off. However BSSC is not going to give you enough time in debating the result, because final result can be expected anytime after 15 February. Total number of seats are 3285.

i've till now followed almost all the comments and thought it would be right for me now to post a comment of my own...this comment is not about this exam, it is about exam as a whole. i am reading a lot of comments where the candidates wish the exam was conducted in one fashion or the other and i feel they are forgetting that "exam" is not what suits you but what suits the examiner. exam is not "sweccha" rather it is "par + iccha". if you did not perform well in this exam it does not mean you are not good...it simply means there are people who are better than you because they performed better than you on that particular day under similar situation. some brothers here would not agree with me and they would say that this pattern was meant to suit some fellows who are relatives of BSSC employees but then they can not prove it in court so basically it becomes a baseless allegation. this is what happened during the hearing related to PT exam... the CBI declined to take up the case and pleaded that the petitioners could not show direct link of involvement of BSSC employees in the so alleged "scam". even if some setting is there i console myself by the logic that this is not a fair world. there were and there are men in power and position who would use it for the benefit of some relative of his/hers and i take it in my calculation. i am a candidate belonging to general category so i take reservation in my stride too. i can not and i do not waste my time crying for what is not in my hands. as i said all i do is to prepare for exams to the best of my ability take exam to the best of my ability and leave the rest on the natural process. there is reservation and corruption but that is not 100%. i do not need more than 1 seat for me and that is what i fight for. this is what i have done this time too...whether i will pass or fail i don't know neither i care about all i am satisfied is i did my best that day...
my score in the present model answer setup is 107-111. and the maximum that i have heard of among my group is my dear friend Munna Kumar who is close to 120.

mr shashank_ u expresed ur view regarding this exam in a very heathy manner but one thing i want to say that this exam which held earliar was not proccesing in the right way to choose the right candidate. Shashan u saying that u stand between 107 to 110 in the model answer and ur friend munna kumar on 120. U think and told us is realy munna is such brilant than u to create a huge gap of 10 to 12 question? I think its not true u and munna both have equall knowledge. But the easiness of the question give him and many more other give advantage of taking chance to attemt the question . Shashank in next comment please clarify ur how many question u attemd and how many question attemd by mr munna. I told u that u attemd not more than 132 but ur frnd munna defntly attemd more than 142 .In such type of exam where paper seems easy make a huge gap by taking chance and one thing THE TOPPER OF THIS EXAM IS NOT THE INTELIGENT ONE BUT THE LUCKY ONE WHO TAKE HIS MAXIMAM CHANCE LIKE MUNNA KUMAR

i would like to clarify the points that you have raised. i did not mean anything when i said my score is b/w 107-111 and that of Munna is around 120. it was just a statement and please do not treat it as a yardstick for measuring how brilliant one is on its basis as i had pointed out in my earlier comment too. next you have questioned the talent of Munna...on that i will just say that i have no comments to offer because you will know how brilliant he is only when you meet him and not on the opinion i have about him...as for the no. of questions, i attempted 136 question in all and 21 out of them according to the model answer are wrong. i think Munna attempted similar no. only his was more correct than mine and it is because of the negative marks that the difference is pronounced.
lastly, you have said that that the topper of this exam will not be intelligent but the one who is most lucky. i will say to proverbs and rest my case:
1). the harder you work the luckier you get.
2). luck favors brave.

ask these questions with an ias topper & class 5 stdnt; both scores 100%. does that means both r same intelligent.
sukr hai court ka jo mn ka form bhar chuke cndidt ko safe rakh new reslt publis ka ades dia aur 1000 ke jagah 10000 reslt add ho gaya. pt ke dmrit wale mains ke lolypop par merit wale ho gaye.
qustn with these type of blunder does really matter.

mr munna kumar carbon copy u have seen? get it checked it again man urself.he may lie .
in pt exam i have seen many lier ,they were not seen in merit list.it is not easier to go beyond 110 in this exam by tukka or only very extra ordinary person with well preparation will reach beyond 115 plus.they are very few in numbers.i think hardly 100.
result will tell truth of everyone.

पुलिस मुख्यालय चाहता है कि दरोगा भर्ती को ले होने वाली परीक्षा में पुराने पैटर्न को ही लागू रखा जाए। इसके तहत पहले दौड़ होती है और फिर लिखित परीक्षा। पुलिस मुख्यालय का तर्क है कि ऐसा होने से लिखित परीक्षा की भीड़ कम हो जाती है। आरंभ से ही इसके लिए लगन भी दिखती है। वहीं दरोगा भर्ती को ले परीक्षा लेने वाली एजेंसी इस मत में है कि पहले लिखित परीक्षा का संचालन कर लिया जाये। इस बाबत अभी सहमति नहीं बन पायी है। संभावना इस बात की है कि मार्च के पहले यह तय हो जाएगा कि दरोगा भर्ती की परीक्षा किस मोड में आगे बढ़ेगी।
